CINZIA FRIEDLAENDER

I’m Cinzia Friedlaender, born in 1960 and based in Berlin since 2007. In addition to working as a systemic supervisor and mediator, I’m also a cultural worker with experience in film, theater, and contemporary art.
My career in the creative sector began working as a costume designer on Andrew Lloyd Weber productions in London, where I stayed for five years. I moved to Cologne, and worked for 15 years as production director and manager in the German film industry. Since 2007, I organize modern and contemporary art exhibitions in Berlin and elsewhere.
Having years of experience in the creative industry as a reference allows me to quickly recognize situations where interpersonal communication issues can lead to conflict or communication problems, and where the pressure to produce within deadlines may increase tensions among co-workers.
I am continuously seeking to enrich my knowledge and expertise in systemic supervision and mediation through workshops and seminars. I also participate in individual and team supervision myself. This encompasses a quality control by the responsible supervising bodies in Germany: DGSV for supervision, and BMEV for mediation.
In addition to those, I also regularly attend trainings in group dynamics offered by the German umbrella association for organizational and group dynamics, DGGO. These workshops provide me with important tools for my further education in this field and in my work with individuals, teams, groups, and organizations.
Since 2015, I volunteer as a guide for Syrians arriving in Berlin, helping to navigate the German system.
